Visitor Policy at Franklin County Medical Center

Welcome to Franklin County Medical Center (FCMC), where we value the well-being of our patients and visitors alike. Our visitor policy is designed to ensure a healing and comfortable environment for all.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our guidelines:

Flexible Visiting Hours, Mindful Healing

We understand the importance of your presence for our patients’ emotional support and recovery. While we don’t set strict visiting hours, we kindly ask that you consider the healing needs of our patients.

Rest is essential for their recovery, so we request that noise levels be kept to a minimum and the number of visitors is reasonable. Patient safety and healing remain our top priority; therefore, visitors may be requested to leave based on the patient’s well-being or at the patient’s request.

Wellness Matters: Considerate Visits

Your health matters to us. To ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and fellow visitors, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting if you’re unwell. If you’re experiencing symptoms such as a fever or unusual health issues, we ask that you delay your visit.

For those who are unable to visit in person, we offer the convenience of video chat. Please feel free to contact the nurses’ desk at 208-852-4100 to arrange a video chat session.

Entrance Guidelines: Convenience and Safety

For your convenience and safety, we’ve designated specific entrance times for our visitors:

  • From 6 AM to 9 PM: Please use the main hospital entrance.
  • 9 PM and 6 AM: Please use the intercom at the main entrance to request access.

These entrance guidelines help us manage visitor flow efficiently while ensuring the security of our premises.

At FCMC, we greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a healing environment for our patients. Your respect for our visitor policy contributes to the well-being of everyone who comes through our doors.
